Who is a member of the DPS?
All licensed banks in Hong Kong (unless exempted) are members of the DPS. Restricted licence banks and deposit-taking companies are not members of the DPS.
Look out for these DPS membership signs!
All Scheme members (unless exempted) must display membership signs at their places of business and on electronic banking platforms.

Exempted banks
Only Hong Kong branches of overseas-incorporated banks, which are covered by a deposit insurance scheme with comparable level and scope of protection, are eligible for exemption from participating in the DPS.
